Summary

From renowned artist and Pura Belpré Author Award Honoree Edel Rodriguez, this lushly illustrated bilingual vocabulary picture book teaches Spanish and English words inspired by his experience as an immigrant

In his signature bold style, internationally acclaimed artist Edel Rodriguez draws on his childhood experience immigrating from Cuba to the United States to teach little ones about both vocabulary and perspective.

With every word presented in both Spanish and English, each illustration contrasts the cultural associations between the words, demonstrating the different types of plantas (plants), música (music), and even leche (milk) across cultures and experiences.

With spare text and vivid visuals, this simple yet powerful concept book cleverly shows young readers how the same thing can be appreciated differently depending on where you are.
