Summary

Author Mike North in his own Words: Street Kid, Street Dog, Street Man, Street Success

Author Biography

"I am so sick of the bears being a team that tries to not make mistakes on offense and lets the defense and special teams do the job. Just once I would like to see the Bears as the team with the high-powered passing attack and capable of throwing for three touchdowns and 400 yards in a game." "If a Little kid gets hit with a foul ball at Wrigley Field, everyone is so concerned and it's a big story for two weeks. The same thing happens on the South Side at U.S. Cellular Field and it's a one-day story. 'Go rub some dirt on it, you'll be fine.' The kid is back at the ballpark the next day." "There's so much talk about Chicago being a bears town, or a Cubs town, or maybe even a Bulls town when Jordan was winning six championships in the 1990s. But true Chicago sports fans remember that when the Blackhawks were flying and the Chicago Stadium was full and roaring every night and Hull was letting that shot go at full steam and in full stride, Chicago was a hockey town first and foremost."
