Summary

Oracle is the leading database on the market, putting Oracle database administrators in high demand. Oracle recently restructured their certification program into three tiers--OCA (Oracle Certified Associate), OCP (...Professional), and OCM (... Master). The first two tiers are exam based, while the third tier (Master) requires the candidate to pass a hands-on exam in a lab environment. Candidates must pass two exams for the OCA certification, and an additional two for the OCP. This book covers the Oracle9i DBA Fundamentals I exam, the second exam required for all three levels.

He currently works as a Database Administrator Consultant for Burlington Resources in Fort Worth, TX. Bob Bryla, OCP, has worked with Oracle databases for over 10 years. He currently works as an Oracle DBA and Analyst for Lands' End in Dodgeville, Wisconsin.
