Summary

Originally published in 1915, this is a pro-German and pro-German-American book by an Irish-American nationalist holding to the premise that "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." He advocates supporting the Germans in WWI against the common enemy of Ireland and Germany - England. The preface states this book is made necessary by violations of neutrality on the part of certain Anglo-American newspapers, by the misrepresentation of the true spirit of Irish nationality at home and abroad, and by the vilification of Germany.James K. McGuire was educated in German schools in Syracuse, New York, and was long time Mayor of Syracuse.
