Author Biography

Laura Zander is the cofounder and co-owner of Jimmy Beans Wool (jimmybeanswool.com), which was named by Inc. magazine as one of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the US for four years (2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012), and is the first official yarn supplier to the US Olympic snowboarding and freeskiing teams. Zander was named one of ten national winners of Ernst & Young's Entrepreneurial Winning Women for 2011. She is also the author of Knit Red (Sixth&Spring Books, 2012), which she conceived and wrote as part of her Stitch Red initiative to support The Heart Truth® Foundation to raise awareness and funds to fight heart disease. Laura resides in Reno, NV.
